“Lawrence S. Ting Charity Walk” program is an annual community event organized by Phu My Hung Development Co., Ltd in collaboration with the People’s Committee of District 7, District 8, Nha Be and Binh Chanh, aiming to encourage people practice sports and raise funds to support the poor to celebrate Tet. The program was held for the first time in 2006. All the money raised was transferred to the Fund “For the Poor” in District 7, District 8, Binh Chanh District and Nha Be District to support the disadvantaged people to improve lives through practical programs such as giving Tet gifts, building houses of gratitude; building a new house of love; anti-leakage repair, foundation lifting; capital support… In addition, the program also supported the “Common Heart” Fund of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) and the “Supporting Poor Patients” Branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and other units.
Up to now, it has been 17 years that Tacheng has accompanied the program in order to partly contribute to supporting the poor with a happier New Year.
